The U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Southwest Metro Production Office has completed the salvage of a U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler from the Pacific Ocean near Shelter Island, San Diego, on February 28, 2025, according to a U.S. Navy statement.

The recovery effort began on February 16, 2025, utilizing the NAVFAC YD-254 floating crane and was carried out with the assistance of U.S. Navy divers. The operation resulted in the retrieval of 33,388 pounds of debris from the bay.
