British and French soldiers have been collaborating on joint tactics, training, and procedures in Estonia as part of Operation CABRIT, according to a press release.

The troops from the 5 Rifles Battlegroup have been engaging in mechanised infantry and trench clearing serials, which are crucial for improving their combat readiness and coordination.

Operation Cabrit is the name of the UK operational deployment to Estonia where British troops are leading a multinational battlegroup as part of the enhanced Forward Presence (eFP). UK Armed Forces have a leading role in NATO’s eFP in the Baltic States, in order to enhance Euro-Atlantic security, reassure Allies and deter adversaries.

The eFP in the Baltic States is a deployment of robust, multinational, combat-ready forces to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, on a persistent, rotational basis. About 900 British personnel rotate on a continuous basis alongside Danish, French, and host nation Estonian forces.

    • Mate, are you new to the site?

Ajax is a recce vehicle – it does not carry an Infantry section.

Pictured is an infantry carrier, an Infantry Fighting Vehicle called Warrior. It has been in service since 1987! But is soon to be phased out in favour of Boxer, an APC.

Some Ajax and variants are being fielded to certain nominated units to gain experience with the vehicle and to participate in reliability Growth Trials.
