The Ministry of Defence has withdrawn its Acquisition Pipeline publication from GOV.UK, and planned procurement activity now appears on Find a Tender through UK1 Pipeline Notices, according to defence minister Luke Pollard.
James MacCleary, the Liberal Democrat MP for Lewes, asked whether an update to the pipeline was planned.
Pollard replied:
“The previous MOD Acquisition Pipeline publication on GOV.UK has been withdrawn. Information on planned Defence procurement activity is published through Find a Tender via UK1 Pipeline Notices. Information relating to Ministry of Defence pipeline activity can be accessed through Find a Tender searches, including summarised searches covering all MOD contracting authorities, enabling suppliers and the public to view procurement opportunities, contract awards and associated procurement notices published by MOD organisations.”
UK1 pipeline notices, issued under the Procurement Act 2023, give advance notice of upcoming contracts above £2 million. Defence Equipment and Support used one in May 2025 to flag a £48 million assessment phase for the Mounted Short Range Air Defence Fire Unit and Multi Mission System, covering vehicle platforms and systems integration for a mobile air defence system.
