Air leaders from 14 partner nations gathered at Allied Air Command (AIRCOM) headquarters in Ramstein, Germany, for the 2025 Partner Air Chiefs’ Conference (PACC), the UK Defence Journal understands.

Held on 18–19 September and chaired by Acting Commander AIRCOM, Air Marshal Johnny Stringer, the event provided a platform for dialogue on air power challenges and cooperation.

The agenda included updates on Agile Combat Employment (ACE), countering unmanned aerial vehicles (C-UAVs), and military partnerships.

Colonel Kevin Anderson of the Joint Air Power Competence Centre delivered a briefing, while General Takehiro Morita of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force addressed NATO’s cooperation from an Indo-Pacific perspective.

NATO stated that the conference serves as an opportunity for partner nations to exchange views on air power and strengthen collaboration. Partnerships, the alliance said, contribute to policy development, interoperability, crisis management, and the growth of national defence institutions.

The Partner Air Chiefs’ Conference is one of several forums used by NATO to deepen cooperation with non-member nations and ensure that lessons, perspectives, and capabilities are shared across regions.

  1. “It’s good to talk”

It would be great to see the UK Chiefs getting together, having lots of meetings to discuss lots of new Ideas and future equipment. Maybe these meetings could lead to many more such meetings.

    • I can see a meeting being put together immediately (well sometime in the next six months after appropriate conversations to determine its exact makeup) to determine whether a long term focus on that very convincing and novel concept should be considered I’m sure. Watch this space, though probably a tent, camp bed and loads of non perishable food is advised.
