A serving Gloucestershire Police officer was arrested on 12 November 2024 by Counter Terrorism Policing South West (CTPSW) officers on suspicion of providing support to a proscribed organisation, namely Hamas, under Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

The officer, aged in his 30s, was detained at a property in Gloucester and subsequently taken to a police custody unit outside the Gloucestershire area.

Specialist officers are carrying out a number of searches in relation to the investigation, including at a vehicle and an address in Gloucester. These searches are focused on locating digital devices for analysis.

Gloucestershire Police Assistant Chief Constable Arman Mathieson expressed concern over the incident, saying, “The arrest of a serving officer on suspicion of such a serious offence will no doubt cause our communities concern, as it does everyone who works for Gloucestershire Police.”

He clarified that the suspected support relates to online activity, adding, “It’s important to note the suspected support relates to activity online and the searches taking place are predominately to locate digital devices for analysis.”

Mathieson also highlighted the early stage of the investigation, urging caution in drawing conclusions: “The arrest has been made to allow for a prompt and effective investigation to take place and we must not draw any conclusions at this stage.”

You think that is bad, look at this. I won’t link it as it will be moderated. Just do a google.

Islamic Sunday school teacher ‘saw it as her duty’ to spread jihad among children with cartoon book, court told”
This is one side of what I always describe as the “enemy within” that we have and which I then get shouted down on here by some left leaning types for daring to mention, as if it somehow does not exist and I am the intolerant one….

I’ll bite, I’m a lefty but we do have a serious issue with religious extremism in this country, and almost all of it comes from one religion. At some point we have to acknowledge that there is an issue and put effort into both kerbing immigration from countries whose expats are disproportionately responsible for offences and prevent offences from those who are already here.

I wasn’t looking for bites or to provoke, btw. This is a serious subject that, stereotypically, is shouted down by the left, so I resoect your position and reply.

Just like with the lad who killed in Southport who, it now turns out was looking at terror materiel online, despite the hullabaloo over whether he was an immigrant or not.

The solider stabbed multiple times in Chatham has also been swepted under the carpet.

This article isn’t surprising just because the suspect is a police officer. There will be many excellent Muslim officers ad well as bad ones.

Western Europe or at least significant parts of it risk looking like Lebanon.
If things go dire i expect significant internal emigration to the margins: Eastern Europe and Iberian Peninsula.
If you end up with 50000 active Hamas supporters or more what you would do?

The woke mind virus that afflicts Britain’s ruling elites will ensure there are many more such Trojan horses infesting police and armed forces, emergency services etc. Sadly, Australia is following a similar path. Fortunately, we have an election coming coming up and an opportunity to reverse course. The UK is on the ‘you can vote your way into socialism, but you have to fight your way out of it’ path. Good luck to the birthplace of my ancestors.

Very true, Ross Hall. The Australian Federal Election will likely be called early as the current Labor Government, fixated with identity politics, is slowly sinking into a quagmire of it’s own making. The UK is in a similar position, with both the former and current governments following a similar path. Cabinet ministers allegedly representing the country’s best interests, simply changed ties when the government changed.
