Ukraine has claimed that Russian forces suffered their highest monthly losses since the launch of its “Army of Drones” bonus programme, with more than 35,000 troops killed or seriously wounded in March, according to Ukrainian officials.
The figures, which Kyiv says are based on its ePoints verification system, are derived from recorded battlefield “hits”, each confirmed by video evidence. According to Ukraine, unmanned systems accounted for the vast majority of these, with 33,988 drone-related strikes recorded, compared to 1,363 attributed to artillery.
Ukrainian authorities also reported significant equipment losses, including the destruction of 274 air defence systems, 121 multiple launch rocket systems, and 212 artillery pieces and self-propelled guns over the month. In addition, Kyiv stated that 33,686 Russian drones of various types were intercepted, including Shahed and Gerbera systems.
In total, Ukraine claims its forces struck more than 151,000 targets during March, with several units highlighted for their role in drone operations, including elements of the Security Service of Ukraine and airborne forces.
Ukrainian officials further stated that Russian losses have exceeded troop replenishment rates for four consecutive months, describing this as part of a broader strategy to increase attrition pressure on Russian forces. These figures have not been independently verified.

With the removal of the USA from the theatre Ukraine is now free to target what it wants when it wants. European economic and industrial might has been enough to keep them in the game and even aspects like US intelligence are rapidly being replaced. The UK’s Oberon satellite should make a massive difference when lunched offering ELINT capabilities that only the US has had until recently.
The Russians are retreating on the ground and Putin has had to switch the internet off in Moscow and St Petersburg. Hopefully the end is in sight
Slava Ukraini 🫡🇺🇦
Well since Ukraine government figures like to wildly overexaggerate their kills, I’d take this with a hefty grain of salt and focus on confirmed kills sites e.g. Oryx
I wonder how that manpower shortage is working out for Ukraine these days.
You kill 400,000 russians and third world mercenaries (best western estimate) but lose 140,000 killed and around 3 times that amount wounded how long can you realistically keep going?
It’s not the crisis people think it is the crisis is resolved because the front line isn’t man bu thusands of troops at loads of defensive points like it was just 2 years ago. It’s teams of drone operators covering massive areas and maned points much less dense, reducing the manpower issue.
Imagine that, Ukraine using technology to over come a manpower advantage.
And a bunch of whingers and trolls complaining they don’t have enough riffle men sitting in muddy holes 😀
It’s a very good point you raise 💪
Yes, Ukraine is outperforming Russia. But Russia is bigger & can absorb the losses. Hence Russia is slowly winning. This is not Afghanistan however. The lines are much more clear cut. The more troops Russia sends to Ukraine, the less they have elsewhere. Russia is winning & loosing at the same time.
Russia is now loosing net territory not gaining it,
It’s no longer slowly winning it’s now clearly slowing loosing.
Why do you think Putin switched the internet off if he is winning?
