Babcock International Group (Babcock) has been awarded a second contract by NATO’s Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) to provide expert advice on wargaming activities, according to a press release.
The one-year agreement will see Babcock support the design, delivery, and management of professional wargames for participants at strategic and operational levels.
Wargaming offers a controlled environment for refining defence preparedness and headquarters’ command, control, and decision-making processes.
Babcock, one of the largest providers of training to the British Armed Forces, previously secured a five-year contract for supplying subject matter experts to JWC exercise play functions.
“Wargaming is critical for developing military strategies and maximising battle readiness – and as a leading provider of individual and collective military training, Babcock is ideally suited to support NATO as it evolves its wargaming offering,” said Jo Rayson, Managing Director for Babcock’s Training Business, as quoted in the press release.

I have no Idea at all what this is all about ?
Its like monopoly but with countries. The best player to be is Donald Trump, then you can buy most countries you land on. You have to protect any countries you own from Vladimir Putin because he will reduce them to rubble if he lands on them. Don’t be a Russian dissident or you will spend most of the game in jail. Try to throw a double 6 and land on Italy – the prime minister is gorgeous and you can extra points by visiting the Vatican.
So which county is Mayfair?
I’m reading that Spain has a booming economy….
Tongue out of cheek, Wargaming is baisically table top exercises where officers run through potential scenarios without using troops. Think the stereotypical pushing little flags around a map with sticks. These days a lot more IT is used for the same effect, I’m guessing from what little detail there is that Babcock has been hired to design scenarios and maintain the IT systems for these Wargames.
