Leonardo has been named as one of the UK’s Best Places to Work in the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards 2026 for the second year running, the company stated.
The firm said it rose from 47th place in 2025 to 31st in the 2026 rankings, which are based on voluntary and anonymous employee feedback submitted through the Glassdoor platform.
Leonardo said the awards differ from other workplace schemes as there is no nomination or application process, with rankings determined entirely by reviews from current and former employees.
Glassdoor evaluates companies based on reviews across nine workplace attributes, including overall rating, career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, diversity and inclusion, senior management, work-life balance, willingness to recommend the employer, and six-month business outlook. Leonardo stated that to qualify for the UK list, companies must receive at least 30 ratings in each category.
The company said the ranking reflects the experiences of its workforce of more than 9,000 people across its UK sites.
Wendy Allen, Leonardo UK People Director, said the company was encouraged by the result.
“To have Leonardo not only appear on the Glassdoor UK Best Places To Work Top 50 for the second year running, but also climb significantly in the ranking, is a fantastic way to start the new year,” she said.
“This award means so much to our business as it reflects the genuine views of our people and shows the steps we are taking together to make Leonardo a welcoming and rewarding place to pursue a career. With vacancies available across the country, we hope to see many more people using Glassdoor to discover more about Life at Leonardo.”

Being happy In your work makes a huge difference to personal wellbeing (and the final product).
Well done Leonardo.
Just need to work on those prices !
Appreciated! LHUK takes a battering almost daily on this platform and several others and motivation is sometimes difficult due to negative press/attitude towards what is ultimately a British workforce of dedicated, professional guys. Many of whom are Ex UKAF who carry-across that ethic. The aircraft built at Yeovil are an excellent product, particularly if maintained correctly by the customer! Agreed, MoD/RAF probably do not want AW149 as first choice but it will be a darn sight more capable than Puma if selected 🙂 Agreed the present government is arseing around far too much and should have made a decision looooong ago but that is a given with this lot and let’s face it any UK gov atm. Reference the workplace accolade – LHUK is a great place to work and the larger ‘package’ offered, is rarely found in the modern-day workplace. If awarded the NMH contract, despite all the negativity that will follow, you can rest assured, that although Italian owned, everyone employed at LHUK will do their utmost to get the job done to the best of their ability. XCHF out.
