Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) is running from September 14-17 in London and is one the worlds largest defence industry events.
DSEI is recognised as the world’s largest land, sea and air biennial defence and security exhibition, bringing together senior international trade and military experts from across the entire supply chain in an optimal business environment.
The event offers an exhibition of Land, Aerospace, Naval, Joint, and Security capabilities, as well as an extensive keynote and seminar programme and will also see the debut of DSEI Connect, a virtual platform which has been created to give access to DSEI content and business development opportunities for those that aren’t able to attend in person.
Air Marshal Gerry Mayhew, Deputy Commander Operations, Royal Air Force said:
“It is with great pleasure that the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, will mark the official opening of DSEI 2021. The exhibition is an important showcase for world-leading innovation and technology from British industry, that provides the RAF and UK Defence the continued ability to remain ahead of our competitors.”
Event Director Grant Burgham, said:
“The industry is getting ready to come back together at DSEI and we look forward to welcoming our exhibitors, speakers, visitors, delegations, Government stakeholders, and the Armed Forces for a week of exclusive demonstrations and presentations. What better way to kick-off one of the UK’s first major international events in recent years than with a greeting from the Red Arrows.”
DSEI is held biennially at ExCeL London. This edition will host over 1000 companies at the live event and through its complementary digital platform, DSEI Connect.

It was touch and go for a while after Sadiq Khan asked DSEI to cancel and not come back. Not heard from the invisible mayor for a while.
As always, the enemy within.
Fans of democracy I see.
Democracy requires defending. The UK and HM Government require armed forces.
Those “offended” after coming here as Khan says need defending too.
May be they would be offended being back from whence they came, by the armed forces of those nations they fled from, who kill, maim, torture, and intimidate.
One man who is seemingly opposed to the very nation his city exists in does not democracy make.
He was also for remaining in the oh so democratic EU, and went so far as to demand another referendum, as he didn’t agree with the result of the 1st one!
Democracy…..don’t make me laugh.
Well said
Very well said.
I haven’t forgot his campaigning in 2015 for the position of Mayor and this electoral promise:
