The Royal Air Force has transported a UK military aid package to support Pakistan following the recent national floods.
According to a news release, an Atlas A400M aircraft delivered the Ministry of Defence provision of eight general-purpose boats with outboard engines and repair kits, and ten portable electricity generators.
“The heavy lift aircraft flew from RAF Brize Norton and landed in Pakistan Air Force Base Nur Khan, where the military aid package was received by Pakistan’s ground crews. The provision followed a multinational request from the Pakistan authorities for additional aid. This military aid was provided in addition to the UK government’s further commitment to flood relief in the country. The UK is continuing to provide assistance through international organisations working with victims of the disaster, including the World Bank and the UN.”
James Heappey MP, Armed Forces Minister, was quoted as saying:
“Our thoughts remain with all those impacted by the flooding in Pakistan. Responding to humanitarian crises across the globe, helping our partners in their hour of need, is what our Armed Forces do best and I’m proud that we were able to respond to Pakistan’s request for help rapidly with the assistance of the RAF.”

“And thanks for all the Shell-fish” 😏
Well done Britain 🇬🇧! Keep on being a great force for good in this crazy world! 🇦🇺 🇳🇿
Hope we and the rest of the West can keep on supporting Ukraine 🇺🇦 to help them well and truly kick the Russian’s out of their country too! Looks like there’s still a need GBAD their to stop those bloody missiles raining down or better, to take out their launch sites! Strength to Ukraine 🇺🇦, its people, its forces and their President! 🇬🇧 🇦🇺 🇳🇿
*there
No you were right first time.
Crazy world ? It’s plain bat shit bonkers ! only in the U.K. is it considered sane to deliver aid (over and above the 300 odd million this year) to a nation that funds a Nuclear weapons programme 🙈
This subject is apparently going to feature in season 4 of The unexplained with Willy Shatner…….

I’ll tell you what I find interesting about Pakistan is that it is skint, in Aug 22, it went cap in hand to the IMF asking for $6 billion and it received $1.1 billion. Many reasons why Pakistan is bankrupt but the main one is when Khan came to power in 2018, Pakistan was one of the biggest benefactors of Saudi Aid, yet when SA and the UAE refused to side with Islamabad over Kashmir in 2019, both countries became the targets of much vitriol from the Pakistani parliament , which saw SA simply say, fine, no more money and you know that $3 billion we loaned you, we want it back, like yesterday. (currently paid back $2 billion) That cash shortage is one of the reasons why khan was removed from power, who naturally blamed foreign influence (looks at Biden)
But what I don’t like about Pakistan is how it is the biggest recipient of British aid Its a nuclear power which currently allocates around 4% of its GDP towards its military whilst neglecting its own people. That 4% resulted in the allocation the other week of $450 million to upgrade Pakistan’s F16 fleet. (money it really cant afford to spend on weapons as it is currently skint, and lets be honest with currently 137 JF17s in service with the latest iteration coming on line fitted with an AESA radar, helmet-mounted display and possibly an internal infrared search and tracking is there any need to upgrade its 1980s era F16s)
I also find it very strange how the US allowed that to happen as in 2018 it cut all military funding to Islamabad in 2018 due to its links with China. (Which is one of the reasons why the US will not allow Turkey to sell the T129 gunship to Pakistan with US engines-But to be fair that is more about China) what makes this even stranger is the US is currently trying to woo India (as seen by the huge number of weapons sales to New Delhi these past 5 years)
7 x C-130J-30 Hercules
28 X AH-64E Apache
4 X P-8A Poseidon
15 X CH-47F Chinook
1X C-17A Globemaster
24 X MH-60R Seahawk
2 x RQ-1 Predator UAV
245 X Stinger
1300 Hellfire missiles
1200 M-982 Excalibur guided shells
4 X LM-2500 turbine engines for use in its home grown Aircraft carrier
179 F404 jet engines for the Tejas Mk-1A (LCA) combat aircraft
And a load more odds and sods
And yet with the signing off of the upgrade of Pakistan’s fleet of F16s, Washington has pissed off the Indians which was already concerned how its belligerent neighbour had recently ordered (received 12 ) 80 Chengdu J-10
I’ve no problem with Aid during a crisis, but and a big but, the country is skint, yet instead of improving the lot of its people (saving lives) it instead spends more on advanced weapons it really has no need for and relies on the people its openly despises to treat its ill, educate its children and feed its poor.
I don’t know why we bother giving aid to Pakistan, their duplicity is breathtaking, they sheltered trained, and armed the Taliban, and gave refuge to Bin Laden. The whole country is a seething hotbed of anti western/ Deobandi Ideology.
Because you can bet your bottom dollar we are getting something in return.
Human Compassion…the people affected are mainly the very very poor..and deserve all the international help they can get…without Political interference.
Despite all the crazy buggers around you’ve still got to still have some compassion for their general population BoF. A third of the country underwater! Can you imagine that? The poor buggers and a lot of them are absolutely poor as! Britain is showing its humanity, leadership, helping hand, bloody good logistics abilities and flying the flag! Good to keep in with Pakistan even if partially in the Western fold. They’re a key Trade partner and export route for China’s Belt & Road with port access to the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean trade routes so we wouldn’t want to be totally frozen out of any types of relations and possible good influences we’d have in that region and Diego Garcia, Middle East close by. And not to mention the cricket and maintaining some harmony in India-Pakistan relations!
Talking of the 🏏. I think England 🏴 just won something (lol) in the T20 yesterday! I’m sure that went down well here (not)…lol.
There’s also the less savoury but incredibly serious problem of the diaspora in this country, and the small but significant proportion of them who live as a fifth column.
The Security Service apparently has over 2,000 on file and has to prioritise which are assigned an A4 ST, obviously.
But Prevent and the Police CT programme generally has been diminished as we have to be PC and devote equal time to the far right white extremists as Islamic extremism. I don’t recall how many far right have blown up buses and tube trains and loathe the nation they’re in and won’t assimilate. Not many. Ho hum!
Since 1999 at least eight far-right extremists have been convicted of terrorism, such as bombings, in this country.
Lies, damn lies, and statistics

Break down for you:
17 April, 24 April, 30 April: 1999 London nail bombings: David Copeland set off three nail bombs in London targeting the black, Bangladeshi and gay communities respectively, killing three people (including a pregnant woman) and injuring 129. Copeland, a far-right extremist, was convicted of murder on 30 June 2000.
29 April 2013 to 12 July: Pavlo Lapshyn, a Ukrainian student and right-wing extremist, fatally stabbed Birmingham resident Mohammed Saleem on 29 April. Lapshyn later detonated a home-made bomb outside a mosque in Walsall on 21 June. On 28 June, Lapshyn detonated a second home-made bomb near a mosque in Wolverhampton, and attacked a mosque in Tipton with an improvised explosive device containing nails on 12 July. He later admitted to police that he wished to start a “race war”[ and was sentenced to serve at least 40 years
16 June 2016: Murder of Jo Cox – Thomas Mair, a 52-year-old white nationalist, shot and stabbed the MP Jo Cox outside a surgery in Birstall, West Yorkshire, and severely wounded a passerby who came to her aid. The attack was treated as an act of terrorism, and in sentencing Mair to life imprisonment the judge said “There is no doubt that this murder was done for the purpose of advancing a political, racial and ideological cause namely that of violent white supremacism and exclusive nationalism most associated with Nazism and its modern forms”
19 June 2017: Finsbury Park attack – Darren Osborne, a 47 year old British man, drove a van into Muslim worshippers near Finsbury Park Mosque, London. A man who had earlier collapsed and was receiving first aid died at the scene. The incident was investigated by counter-terrorism police as a terrorist attack. On 23 June, Osborne was charged with terrorism-related murder and attempted murder. In February 2018 at Woolwich Crown Court, he was found guilty on both counts and was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 43 years.
In total over 23 years 4 far right idiots(and I don’t take them lightly have murdered 6 people) on that note
Pavli Lapshyn was a Ukrainian student who had only been in the country a week, he wasnt even British.
Thomas Mair has been painted as far right, yet I actually went to the same school as he did, My best mate lived not 5 doors away from him on Fieldhead estate.(and its a rough place, Murders left right and centre and where even taxis cabs refuse to go) We knew of him and he was a quiet lad, (lived with his gran) but here’s what I cannot understand, his half brother is black, and he dotes on him and would cook for him every Friday, I’m not excusing what he did, or subscribe to the tin foil brigade, he took a life and he has been punished. Yet how many people knew he had a black brother whom he had no issues with . Does that sound like somebody from the far right and a white nationalist?
Darren Osborne painted as a far right bigot, yes he drove a van into a group of Muslims leaving a mosque during Ramadan, yet the only person who died (or required hospital treatment) was 51year old Makram Ali, who had suffered a heart attack and was the reason there was a crowd around him when Osborne decided to drive into the group. Yes Osborne was a c-nt for doing so, but after Islamic terrorist attacks in:
March: Westminster bridge attacks killing 4 injuring 50)
May: Manchester arena killing 22 injuring 139
June : London bridge attacks killing 8 injuring 48
He saw red on seeing a group of Muslims and drove into them, I don’t excuse him in anyform or way. But I can see how somebody saw red after 34 people had been killed on the streets of the Uk by Muslims and he saw red.
But the point of my post is whilst the far right is an existent threat to the Uk (especially people my skin colour) the Uk, and people my colour face far less from the extra chromosome brigade of walts than we do from idiots who work for ali ackba.
Farouk replied better than I ever could.
But yes, yes, appalling. And the “scoreboard” on the other side makes even grimmer reading.
My comment on prevent still stands, as does Levis 5th column point.
How many more are being imported as we speak across the channel with no checks? Which only further fuels the situation.
The PC aspect even spread to stop and search, encouraged by Abbott, Corbyn, and all. I don’t think elderly ladies in Tunbridge wells require stopping like gangs of blacks and Albanians in London who I’d confidently suggest kill each other more in a few months during the ongoing gang warfare than right wing extremists have done in 30 years. 6 was it?
Bravo, as always.
Absolutley – I appreciate that Aid is often seen as soft power…but in the case of Pakistan I fail to see why this is given I do not trust them…at all.
However of course in this instance help with assisting specific flood victims is obvioulsy very much a neccessity.
Look a bit …and you’ll see any planes that go don’t come back empty…. Nice trips via Romania, cyprus ,😏
Romania, Cyprus? You’ve lost me.
Munitions. Been sending em to Ukraine via for a while now
Well said
Good afternoon Gentlemen
The above comments confuse too many issues namely:
1. Humanitarian aid for people affected by biblical floods.
2. The removal of Imran Niazi as PM
3. Pakistan Military
4. Jehadis in UK.
1. Humanitarian Relief: The British armed forces should be complimented for providing much needed boats and Generators. The floods have affected mainly poor people in Sindh who have nothing to do with International Jehadi organisations.
2. Rwmoval of Imran Niazi is much a “International Conspiracy” as removal of Boris Johnson! To make martyr of Imran is rather pathetic!
3. Pakistan Military: Every country needs armed forces to defend itself. It is a truly Professional army that decides what equipment it needs in terms of defence. Pakistan HAD to acquire Nuclear Weapons because its arch rival India went Nuclear first!
Take the example of Ukraine. It lost its Nuclear arsenal in 1992. It is being threatened with Tacticsl Nuclear weapons. Not all the HIMARS in the world would protect it against A nuclear attack!
4. Jehadis in UK. Mr Blair and George Bush are equally responsible for this for starting a stupid war in Iraq on the issue of WMD? Every sane person begged them to stop including Saudis, Germans but Donald Rumsfeld was bent upon it. Radicalisation of Muslim Youth is the end result!
The issue of Palestinian Homeland is main motivation of Arab Jehadis. Palestinians must have a homeland to bring some peace to Middle East.
I hope we can appreciate the humanitarian assistance and not confuse it with other issues and biases.
With best wishes
Mustafa Iqbal
Why are the UK giving to these countries? Corrupt politicians, police, services etc, what aid do we get when needed?. British taxpayers should decide where our hard earned taxes go,, Pakistan is not in as much debt as the UK is.
Hopefully full of Soviet style ammunition for the return journey.
Tough times for some of the population just now. We are very lucky in the U.K. that we don’t really have these kinds of catastrophic events that devastate massive areas at one time repeatedly.
Sorry, bit with all due respect and concern for their plight, they can fuck off and whistle!
…mean while, back to the war going on in Ukraine…pity they didn’t blow an even bigger hole in the Kerch bridge! It’s a start at least!
Is this all the British Government has sent thus far?
