Aerospace and defence firm Leonardo has been named one of the top 25 companies to grow a career in the UK, according to LinkedIn’s 2025 Top Companies list, published earlier this month.
The data-driven ranking assesses employers based on eight key criteria that support long-term career progression. These include advancement opportunities, skills development, company stability, external job prospects, company culture, gender diversity, educational background, and employee presence within the UK.
Leonardo is the only company from the UK aerospace and defence sector to feature on the list, joining major global brands such as AstraZeneca, Google, PepsiCo, Apple, and Shell.
The company was also recently listed among Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work in 2025, further cementing its growing reputation as a standout UK employer.
“I am delighted that once again Leonardo has been recognised externally as an employer of choice in the UK,” said Wendy Allen, the company’s UK People Director, in a company news update. “I am particularly pleased that ability to advance, skills growth and gender diversity have compared favourably to other large UK organisations.”
She also acknowledged the role of staff engagement, noting: “Thanks to everyone who contributes to our activity on LinkedIn through social media engagement or through building skills on LinkedIn Learning.”
LinkedIn’s rankings highlight employers that not only offer solid job prospects but also foster an environment of professional growth and inclusivity—areas Leonardo says it has prioritised in recent years.
