For the second time in 48 hours, the United States has deployed B-52H Stratofortress bombers to the Middle East, demonstrating force projection capabilities and integration with partner nations, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM).

The Bomber Task Force mission saw two B-52s take off from RAF Fairford, UK, flying across Europe and six partner nations in CENTCOM’s area of responsibility.

During the flight, the bombers conducted aerial refuelling and training missions at designated ranges. CENTCOM confirmed that one allied air force provided fighter escorts for the duration of the mission, highlighting the high level of coordination involved.

A CENTCOM statement noted:

“For the second time within 48 hours, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) conducted another Bomber Task Force Mission in the Middle East, Feb. 20, demonstrating force projection capabilities and partner nation integration in the region. Two B-52s from RAF Fairford, U.K., flew across Europe and six partner countries in CENTCOM’s area of responsibility during their mission, which included aerial refueling and training missions at ranges. Additionally, one partner nation provided fighter escorts for the bombers throughout the mission.”

This latest mission is part of ongoing efforts to boost US military presence and reassure regional allies amid heightened tensions.

The operation, say the Command, underscores CENTCOM’s ability to rapidly deploy strategic assets across vast distances, reinforcing both deterrence and allied cooperation in a region that remains a focal point for US security interests.

I thought these bombers were a show of force to Putin – but it appears it may be a show of force to the Palestinians – Trump want’s his Beach Resort. Or maybe I’m being cynical, it would be interesting to see their flight path?

Trump doesn’t have an issue with propping up Israel or with all the money that seems to get sent there. But Europe? Oh well.

That one isn’t hard. Did most Israeli media and politicians mock him and cheer for his arrest in addition to calling him a his supporters fascist? No. Did most European/UK media and politicians do so? Yes. Newsflash actions have consequences.

It was a US court that found him guilty. US prosecutors, US judiciary. He broke US laws. It’s amazing how your MAGA reasoning can’t see that. You’ve lost your country without a single shot being fired.

A rich man found guilty of paying an escort He was found guilty of nothing else.
On the other note. I won my country and screwed over the globalists and socialists. Simple equation if people who hate you want something, do not give it to them show them contempt.

Amazing to think that an aircraft that first flew in 1952 is expected to fly combat missions beyond 2040. With a raft of new stand-off weapons coming, I can see why the the USAF still put a lot of faith in the aircraft. Pity we never had the foresight to keep the Vulcan going. Yes it couldn’t carry as much as the B52, where the B52 had a realistic internal and external payload of around 63,000lbs, whereas the Vulcan could carry internally 21,000lbs plus a little under the wings. It would have made a great stand-off missile carrier, As it… Read more »

Most medium range missiles can! Whether the missile can defeat the bomber’s on-board jamming is subjective. Besides, if the B52 is in range of these missile, then the mission planning has failed. In a peer/near peer war, the B52 is a stand-off missile carrier, it is far to risky to do the traditional overflight for dropping dumb bombs on a target. It can only realistically survive this type of conflict by using powered stand-off weapons. As I suspect even the JDAM type glide bomb would put it at a significant risk to being intercepted by a medium/long SAM. The B52’s… Read more »
