Police are investigating after the Edinburgh offices of Keysight Technologies were damaged early on 7 November, following claims of responsibility from a group describing itself as Autonomous Activist Group.

In an email circulated to media outlets, the group said it had targeted the site “in solidarity with the people of Palestine,” alleging that the company supplies components used in Israel’s defence industry. The message also linked Keysight to Thales and Elbit Systems through the UK’s Watchkeeper surveillance drone programme.

The claims appear to refer to the Watchkeeper’s origins, as the aircraft was developed from Israel’s Hermes 450 system before being built under a UK-specific programme for British defence use. There is no verified evidence that systems or components produced for this system in the UK have been exported to Israel, however.

The email alleged that windows, lighting, and air-conditioning units at the site on Lochside Place were damaged and paint was sprayed both inside and outside the building. A photograph circulated with the message appears to show damage to the glass frontage taken at night.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.20am on Friday, 7 November 2025, we received a report of a disturbance at and damage to a premises on Lochside Place, Edinburgh. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 0196 of 7 November 2025.”

Keysight Technologies has not issued a public statement.

    • this nation, due to decades of weak governments are far too soft on a lot of these demonstrations. I accept the fact that it might be a rad un democratic to stain those creatures with dyed water from a water cannon that the police will to dispose the issue when the green open sandal brigade gets out of hand this nation is weak because the culture is standing up against those who would undermine our way of life. I am racist and I don’t care what the thought police say about that you only have to see people linked with the more serious crimes across the country and the fact that many are carried out by people of an ethnic nature. who cares what THEY THINK?

  1. Edinburgh has been plagued by these assholes. They have consistently spray painted a 200 year old building because it has a Barclays Bank branch in it totally destroying the building stone work and also crashed a car into a Leonardo facility.

They target a bucket company because it picks up the trash from Leonardo as well.

    Real scum bags.

Meanwhile the police in Edinburgh are busy hunting kids with helicopters and thermal night vision in operation Night Shade for setting off fireworks.

    Priorities I suppose.

  2. And of course, the judiciary will give them a slap on the wrist.
They are smart, they don’t leave mean posts on twitter and just cause some harmless vandalism, just boys being boys really

    • I saw videos of a woman who joined Greta on her voyage to Gaza, after they stopped partying in southern Spain, the woman kept complaining about the conditions on the boat ffs.

Wouldn’t last an hour in Gaza.

  3. How about going to their home, and trashing their property? Their clothes, PlayStation, PC, Laptop, mobile, books ( if they have a brain to read ) computer games.
There you go. Sort it out.
I’d pay to see their faces.

    • Come on Dan, Let’s go, I’ll ride point, you can provide cover.

oh but if it’s raining, can we put it off for a while ?

Where’s by bloody pitch fork gone.

      • 😆
As for yobs on the railways near my signalbox, and those that insist on putting their dirty shoes on seats on public transport, it’s the stocks for them. P1 end of platform at Haslemere! 😉

        • Just spoke to the Mrs she likes your idea of stocks on platforms but asks if you can you add copper cabling thieves from the Midland Mainline to P1 at Haslemere ? They can keep hold of the cable but she wants it connected up to a live 25Kv supply, it should keep them nice and toastie (check wind direction first). Notwork Fail tried to reopen the old Ivanhoe line from Leicester to Burton upon Trent to passenger travel and Electrify it, project has been cancelled as the copper theft exceeded installation. Not a happy 🚉 🐇

          • 😄
Afternoon my friend. I forgot that your Mrs was Control, assume Derby ROC?
I left the Railway 2 weeks ago, Box was closed and it’s moved to the Basingstoke ROC.
I had the honour of being the last Signalman on shift there and closed the box after 130 years.
These modern ROC are not for me. Happily retired from the railway now, got time on my hands before I look for something less taxing.
We have 3rd Rail down here, nasty thing, I’d be happy to oblige.

    • To true Daniele! I’m curious to understand where the ” Autonomous Activist Group” were when Hamas invaded Israel on 7 Oct . I can’t recall them “demonstrating” or condeming the terrorism of Hamas against civilians .

    • I expect that these ‘activists ‘ are really just GRU sponsored thugs, continuing the Kremlin’s grey zone warfare.

  4. Anyone committing an act of sabotage against the UK defensive capabilities should be charged with treason and sentenced to minimum 25 years in prison ( or preferably hung by the neck)

  5. I have done a bit of work with Keysight technology in the past. It was machine vision inspection systems and microscopes if I remember correctly. I am pretty sure that test equipment is there main business

  6. I think it’s time to put a stop to these kinds of shenanigans. Examples need to be made of these zealots, with government laid down specifics, about their treatment, and punishments thereof.

Any act of sabotage aimed at any military base, camp, land or airfield, as well as any military contractor’s premises, their employees place of residence, the employee’s themselves, should be re-classified as a terrorism offence, punishable by a minimum term of 12 years in prison.

Said sentence could be added to, but not reduced, in time served on remand/bail/parole or custody. Sentences will be carried out at HMP Belmarsh High Security Unit, regardless of age or gender.

Upon release from Belmarsh, electronic tagging will be applied for a period no shorted than three years.

I think that should cover it…

      • Poor security at Waddingtons. “Get out of jail free” cards gone missing. Looks like a government Monopoly.
But I agree with others that HMG over the last 50+ years has done more damage to our national defence than any hostile state. We must be SUCH an asset to NATO, bringing ever less to the alliance most years.

    • Most of the police don’t care, and the few that do are too overstretched and in fear of losing their jobs if they help to help.

And as Crabfat said, the perpetrators would just be ‘accidently’ released anyway.

  7. These acts need to be classified as terrorism, or acts on behalf of a foreign power. The chances of a war in the near future look more and more possible and an example of these people need to be made. If not British born, they must be removed from the country on national security grounds. The various desks in certain places have highlighted multiple threats to the country by fifth columnists
