Reports are coming in of a terrorist attack at the Parsons Green tube station in London with twenty injured with severe burns.

Passengers were injured following the blast at 08:20 BST (07:20 GMT) at Parsons Green station.

Pictures show a white bucket on fire inside a supermarket bag, but do not appear to show extensive damage to the inside of the carriage.

The Metropolitan Police said “a number of people” had been injured and advised people to avoid the area.

Statement from the Mayor of London

“The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the explosion on a train at Parsons Green Station this morning is being treated as terrorism.

Our city utterly condemns the hideous individuals who attempt to use terror to harm us and destroy our way of life.

As London has proven again and again, we will never be intimidated or defeated by terrorism.

I am in close contact with the Metropolitan Police, Transport for London, Government and other emergency services who are responding at the scene and leading the investigation. I will be attending the emergency COBRA meeting in Whitehall this afternoon with the Prime Minister.

My sincere gratitude goes to all our courageous emergency responders and the TfL staff who were first on the scene.

I urge all Londoners to remain calm and vigilant, and to check TfL’s website for travel advice.”

Why is May blaming internet companies for Parsons Green? The fault lies with our political correctness where we openly allow people who hate us and our western values to live here, then look the other way and scratch our heads when the bombs go off, because apparently it is “racist” to intern or deport the thousands MI5 has said it is watching due to the danger they pose. Who else would have a potential murderer living in their own home? Meanwhile people are demanding Nelson’s Column gets torn down due to a belief a historical figure had 200 years ago.… Read more »

I expected better from May. I’d expect as much from Corbyn and others of his ilk.

Nelson’s probably safe – after all who is going to take down one of this country’s most amazing monuments to a disabled warrior? 😉

Bring back the charge of treason. This is punishable by death for any individual residing in the UK who has therefore received virtual British citizenship but still plots against us and wishes to murder their own fellow citizens. Thank god this individual was incompetent and his attack failed. Goes to show that in and amongst Lilly Alken’s lefty wishes to provide asylum to the entire world there are a hard core of terrorist and terrorist sympathisers. Much respect to our security forces for their bravery and dedication. They have a nightmare job trying to keep tabs on thousands and thousands… Read more »
