It’s disappointing to hear that only the US is capable of conducting opposed landings in Haiti, and they won’t. With the global and regional power, the US, taking a back seat, leadership doesn’t fall to France, the former colonial power, or to the EU as a whole, or even to countries like the UK or Holland, which still have regional interests. It falls to Kenya. Why? As far as I can work out they’re the only ones who give a stuff.
How sad is that?
If it had happened to a Commonwealth member what would we have done? Sent an OPV on a goodwill flag-waving mission?
Can press play on this on phone and then do other things on phone. Perfect
Thanks George & the OSINT team. Insightful as usual. Cinging a bit from the Americans creating aberations of the English language when there’s perfectly normal terms already covering it(still haven’t gotten over “normalcy” when normality is the word, so hearing more here tonight is depressing). I wouldn’t buy a used car from Trump, let alone let him annywhere near public office, let alone dictate foriegn policy spending.
My heart goes out to Haitians trapped in a failing state with anarchy & thugs roaming the streets.
