Photos show Lt. Cmdr. Maria Relayo inspecting ammunition before its transportation aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), a routine event but an interesting image.
The transfer took place during a coordinated ammunition operation with the Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11) in the Pacific Ocean.
The Abraham Lincoln, serving as the flagship of Carrier Strike Group Three, is currently conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
The U.S. 3rd Fleet, as a vital part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, manages naval forces across the Indo-Pacific region. The fleet plays a key role in maintaining sea control and power projection while providing essential training for the Navy’s timeless missions.
The U.S. 3rd Fleet, say the U.S. Navy, works closely with other numbered fleets to ensure the readiness and capabilities necessary for day-to-day competition, crisis response, and conflict resolution.
Homeported in San Diego, California, USS Abraham Lincoln is America’s fifth Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. The largest warships in the world, Nimitz-class aircraft carriers support and operate aircraft that engage in attacks on airborne, afloat, and ashore targets that threaten free use of the sea and engage in sustained power projection operations in support of U.S. and coalition forces.
The aircraft carrier and its strike group also engage in maritime security operations to interdict threats to merchant shipping and prevent the use of the seas for terrorism and piracy.
Any chance of making it so when you post an article about “a photo”, you can tap on the photo, enlarge and look at it? All.you get is a small banner pic at the top half covered in text.

would are few aircraft on, board aircraft carrier look as full?
Pardon?
Is it so many? <200 in view, less than 1 days worth. A fraction of those carried elsewhere.
Which is why they are worried about their 13 white elephants and the fact they cannot protect them anymore. A carrier is no good when it cannot project power.
If you think US carriers cannot project power, nor be protected, I think you may have had a little too much to drink this Christmas.
Oh dear, subject matter knowledge seems limited.
I have a dream of a place where there is no war, no conflict, where all resources are used for the good of the people where everyone lives in peace and harmony and we could attack that place and take control ‘cos they’d never expect it.
War is over if you want peace. ❤️✌️
