As a result of reader feedback we have significantly reduced the number of adverts shown on our site, but that means we now need to ask for your help to keep the website running.
At the UK Defence Journal, our passion lies in delivering accurate, insightful, and timely news on defence matters.
Our dedicated team of volunteers is driven by a commitment to inform the public and provide in-depth analysis of military operations, defence policies, and geopolitical developments.
We use a service called ‘Buy me a coffee’ to facilitate any one-off donations you want to make; it’s all above board.

Contributions from our supporters play a crucial role in sustaining our operations, allowing us to cover stories that matter and bring them to a wider audience. Your support helps us maintain our independence, invest in high-quality journalism, and remain a trusted source of information in the defence community.
Running an independent news website is no small feat. It requires resources, time, and a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality journalism. Without your support, we simply can’t continue to operate at our current capacity.
Your help is not just a purchase; it’s an investment in the future of independent defence journalism.
Joined Patreon, but very little activity on it. Are there plans to increase activity on Patreon?
Thanks for asking! Yes, been unwell, and so has my little boy recently, so there is not much activity on the exclusive content, but I have a great video lined up I was able to film yesterday; I think a TV company in Scotland might be using it too.
Hi George, sorry to hear you and your son have been unwell. Looking forward to seeing the new video. Cheers
Helped through koffee, keep it will do so from time to time
I personally didn’t think there were too many adverts previously. Would be a shame to see the site suffer or go under because you’ve had to reduce them.
Yes, put them back.
Agreed.
Never really bothered by adverts or saw any complaints….

Long long time reader, bought you guys a coffee ofc!
But as well didnt realise the ads were the mainstay of income.
