What is the OSINT Bunker?

The OSINT Bunker is a defence and security-based podcast aimed at expanding people’s knowledge of the geopolitical landscape using open-source intelligence. It fills a niche that most people (most people reading this anyway) have for up-to-date, accurate and balanced information on ongoing conflicts.

What is OSINT? For those who don’t know, OSINT stands for open-source intelligence, which refers to any information gathered from public sources about an organisation, event, individual etc. In practice, that tends to mean information found on the internet, but technically any public information falls into the category of OSINT, whether it’s books or reports in a public library, articles in a newspaper or statements in a press release.

Episodes typically cover the UK and international defence matters.

      • It’s funny the Russians are saying there was no damage and no losses and just like the Mockva it just spontaneously blew up without any Ukrainian involvement. 🤥

The Russians have heavily covered Crimea with air defences to protect the Kersch Bridge. If the Ukrainians can wreck this airbase at long range the future doesn’t look good for this vital bridge. If it’s destroyed, then the only land route for Russian logistics and reinforcements is along Ukraines south coast. If the Ukrainians can succeed in the push on Kherson then this becomes endangered too.
Hard to see how Putin can call the isolation and ultimate fall of his forces in Crimea as a victory.

        • It’s hilarious.

Margarita Simonyan claimed that it was an accident on her telegram account, then in a statement she said Ukraine had crossed a red line attacking Crimea. Throw as much shit at the window and see what sticks I suppose.

On social media I haven’t seen Ukrainians this buoyant since the Moskava was deep sixed

          • Whether missile, drone, artillery or special forces, it’s immaterial really. The most important thing is the continued destruction of Russian military hardware that is used for the exclusive destruction of Ukrainian civilian infrastructure and lives and for which you shamefully have no words of condemnation.

          • 2 separate explosions could just as easily be missile strikes, either way it’s a successful attack by the Ukraine that makes Russia look increasingly fragile. Another big blow with at least 8 aircraft lost.

          • Be it a: drone, sabotage, or missile it shows UKR now have a stick long enough to touch areas previously thought to be untouchable.

There’s a feeling of Karmic retribution watching Russian holiday makers fleeing from their stolen holiday homes.

          • Oh dear, how sad never mind! Come on Ukraine more to come!!!! Does it make you sad that yet again your hero’s are found wanting in another sphere of its special (needs) military operation!

  1. Looks like continuing with business as usual is real head in the sand on behalf of the West. Either we stand up to Russia & PRC going for world domination or we make it far harder to down the line. The threat of tyrants/idiots taking over our democracies is real & present & we’re naive to think we’re safe & secure.

      • Incompetent by virtue of establishing the complete overhaul of Ukrainian military training and tactics since 2015 and equipping their armed forces with modern effective weapons from the West ?…

        • Trump did nothing but hold up arms to Ukraine in order to try and get dirt on his political opponent, so yes total incompetence. Boris had his best moment with the Ukraine and he genuinely raised the profile of the UK on it, but it was the policy of the UK to support and train Ukraine long before Boris took the job, he wasn’t PM in 2015 was he. He put a loudspeaker to it but he can’t take credit for the British position which will continue after he’s gone. I take it you are a Boris and Trump fan and felt slighted at my rather uncontroversial comment
