After Facebook was “breached” by hackers, thousands of users woke up on Wednesday only to find out that they can no longer receive notifications on the social media platform.
Speaking to Facebook Business Support, I asked why notifications had stopped appearing and I was told:
“Meta was recently breached by a group of hackers and they are messing up many features. Meta is currently working to get this fixed.”
The issue doesn’t seem to impact most Facebook users, but a sizable community is growing on Reddit and Facebook itself, with one group now having over 12,000 members.
The issue, as mentioned above, seems to have started on Wednesday morning.
I reached out to the Facebook press team, but they have yet to respond. I will update this when I know more.
And they whine at this when Ukrainian kids are being killed, women raped and mass graves found containing people who have been tortured? When half the world will probably go cold and hungry this Winter? Frankly who cares about social media anyway? A sign of how the world has its priorities very skewed.

Oh no! No new notifications! How will I know my 2nd cousin twice removed is the bell end I always suspected he was if I don’t receive notification of his post detailing his stupidity.
I don’t really use Facebook, I gave up on that social nonsense years ago. It has its uses but gifting them all my worldly knowledge and thoughts is not one of them. In my opinion.

The more time you have on your hands > the more you can invest in manipulation of a virtual reality > and the more important you can appear. I’m still amazed at the number of people that still use Facebook after all the sleazy things they have done.
It makes me laugh that Facebook has lost billions on its cringeworthy Metaverse.
I applaud these hackers, they are doing society a favour!

Actually I don’t really see the relevance to UK defence. Unless this is meant to slow the response time of public opinion to some event.
I’ve been without notifications since Wednesday and trust me it sucks… What’s taking the technicians so long to fix this… They’re quick to block us if we posted something that doesn’t meet their “standards” but cannot fix notifications in days.. Geez😏🚮
