Raytheon UK has been awarded a contract by BAE Systems to supply its Landshield Plus anti-jamming antennas for the CV90 infantry fighting vehicle, the company stated.

According to Raytheon UK, Landshield Plus combines an antenna and anti-jam processor in a single unit, providing users with information on interfering signals and their location.

The system, they say, is designed to offer real-time situational awareness in GPS-challenged environments while remaining compact, lightweight, and low power for use across land, sea, and air platforms.

James Gray, managing director and chief executive of Raytheon UK, was quoted in the press release as saying: “There is a growing demand for resilient GPS across today’s complex battlefield. The Landshield Plus anti-jam solution delivers exceptional performance in one integrated system, making it an ideal choice for modern combat vehicles such as the CV90.”

Raytheon UK stated that the system operates across the L1 and L2 GPS frequency bands, using a seven-element antenna with integrated anti-jam technology capable of blocking signals from up to six jammers simultaneously. The company said this ensures navigation resilience in contested environments.

Thousands of Raytheon UK’s anti-jamming systems are already in service worldwide across multiple domains. Deliveries for the CV90 programme, developed by BAE Systems Hägglunds, are scheduled between 2025 and 2029.

Raytheon UK employs more than 2,000 people and is a major supplier to the UK Ministry of Defence. The company is part of RTX’s Raytheon business, which recorded over $80 billion in sales in 2024.
