The US Navy have released a video showing a Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) Block IA missile launching from the deck of Arleigh Burke class destroyer USS Ross. The missile successfully intercepted a Terrier Oriole ballistic missile fired from the Hebrides Range in Scotland.

Naval vessels from nine countries worked together to simultaneously intercept dummy ballistic and cruise missiles off the coast of Scotland this week.

The test involved ships from the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

The Terrier Oriole is an unguided two-stage rocket system used to test ballistic missile defence systems, under the name Aegis Readiness Assessment Vehicle-B.
