The USS Georgia, equipped with an underwater launch system for special forces, arrived at Faslane naval base in Scotland for its second visit in two months.

The USS Georgia was converted into a cruise missile submarine from a ballistic missile submarine.

The visit is routine.

The U.S. Navy said that this port visit to Faslane reflects the United States’ “commitment to our allies and partners in the region and complements the many exercises, training, operations, and other military cooperation activities conducted by Strategic Forces to ensure they are available and ready to safely and effectively operate around the globe at any time”.

What is the bump on the back?

It’s a drydock for the ‘SEAL Delivery Vehicle’. The SDV is a manned submersible and a type of swimmer delivery vehicle used to deliver United States Navy SEALs and their equipment for special operations missions. It is also operated by the Royal Navy’s Special Boat Service, which operates three SDVs from Astute-class submarines.

The SDV, which has been in continuous service since 1983, is used primarily for covert or clandestine missions to denied access areas. It is generally deployed from the Dry Deck Shelter on a specially-modified submarine, although it can also be launched from surface ships or land. It has seen combat in the Gulf War, Iraq War, and the US intervention in Somalia.

    • Article states it is a routine port call. Could be entirely coincidental,, but a second publicized visit to Faslane w/in two months prompts the question whether there is USN signaling to Mad Vlad to keep the Orcs in check.

  1. As the powerful odour of Scotland’s rotting refuse drifts over Hadrians Wall, English rats – never rodents to miss the main chance – are crossing the border and heading north in droves, seeking free food and Scottish lady rat entertainment. English rats have now crossed the Firth of Forth and have reached Caithness, with a recce contingent recently spotted around the bins at Lossiemouth.

An early contingent of English gangster rats have apparently taken over the Glasgow sewers and are engaged in a turf war with the weaker Celtic rats, who are retreating East towards Edinburgh…

    • David Lloyd!! I am from Ayr, However living in Newcastle upon Tyne, Thank you for receiving the English rats, BIG they are, I noticed my local rats had gone, You say they are heading to Edinburgh! That’s strategic, You will get the Liverpool rats via Stranraer, They will join forces with the Leeds rats and counter attack your house by THIS evening. They have nightvision, When they see BLUE, They will start full attack and finish dambusting the Ibrox area. Morelos won’t help. Maybe you should have left with sturgeon 😱🙄😜😜😜😜🕶️🕶️🕶️🕶️🕶️🕶️🕶️🕶️🕶️

        • I’m Scottish and a Celtic supporter, And love Scotland, Also believe in a fair wage, Embarrassed strikes happening during Edinburgh festival. BUT, I support them. Certainly doesn’t look good tho. Sturgeon paid a private refuse company to clean her bins and street whilst leaving city of Edinburgh looking like medieval times

  2. 2nd visit in two months, huh? That suggests covert operations along the Atlantic coast of Europe somewhere, in Mediterranean, or, dare I suggest it, the Black Sea. Of course, it could also have been a completely innocent training mission.

  3. There are strikes all over the UK not just in Scotland. UK Parliament has been rudderless since Boris Johnston was ousted by his own party. Funnily enough you don’t mention that.

  4. Are we going to keep poncing around showing our might until Ukraine is completely destroyed,I hope at least there will be a minute’s silence for them,we are all an embarrassment it’s destroyed everything
