Official statements confirm Danish Arctic Command has carried out a medical evacuation from a U.S. Navy nuclear-powered attack submarine operating near Greenland.

Denmark’s Joint Arctic Command (Arktisk Kommando) announced that a crew member from an American submarine required urgent medical treatment and was airlifted approximately seven nautical miles off Nuuk, within Greenland’s territorial waters. The evacuation was conducted using a Danish Defence MH-60R Seahawk helicopter, deployed from a Royal Danish Navy inspection vessel. The sailor was transferred to Greenlandic health authorities and admitted to hospital in Nuuk. No further details have been released regarding the individual’s condition.

The U.S. submarine involved has been identified as USS Delaware (SSN-791), a Virginia-class fast attack submarine homeported in Groton, Connecticut. Commissioned in April 2020, Delaware is one of the U.S. Navy’s most modern nuclear-powered attack submarines. The Virginia class displaces around 7,800 tonnes and measures approximately 115 metres in length. Powered by a single S9G nuclear reactor driving steam turbines and a pump-jet propulsor, the submarines are designed for sustained global operations with an essentially unlimited operational range. The class is capable of speeds exceeding 25 knots and operates at test depths greater than 800 feet.

With a crew of around 134 personnel, Virginia-class submarines conduct intelligence gathering, anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, strike missions and special operations support. Their deployment in Arctic and North Atlantic waters reflects the increasing strategic focus on the High North.

Joint Arctic Command is Denmark’s primary military authority for Arctic operations, including search and rescue and medical evacuations in Greenlandic waters. The command routinely supports civilian and allied military vessels operating in the region, where harsh weather and remote geography can complicate emergency response.

    • I bet they all felt a bit awkward being rescued by a Danish helicopter that was only their because their boss threatened to invade the country 😂

Someone should ask Stephen miller for a comment

In other news the US ambassador for to Israel just stated on TV that Israel should be able to conquer the entire Middle East region because god gave it to them in the bible and that Palestinians not real and are only arabs that happened to live in the British empire.

I’m sure this will have countries in the region desperate to host US forces “attacking” Iran.

Just after that Steve Witkoff told the press that Trump was shocked that the Iranian’s hadn’t surrendered at the sight of mighty US forces forming up in the Middle East.

Perhaps the Iranian’s realise that with no local basing the US ain’t as powerful as MAGA thinks

You have to feel sorry for the sailors on the USS Ford. That’s ship is on a new “invasion” plan each week.

It’s has moved back and forth across the Atlantic now several times every time Trump falls out with someone.

      🇺🇸🫡
