45 Commando Royal Marines are showcasing their impressive firepower in a new video released ahead of scheduled night firing exercises set to begin in Arbroath next week.

The video, shared by the unit, captures 45 Commando executing precision shooting drills under the cover of darkness, demonstrating the intensity and skill involved in their small-arms training.

The footage highlights 45 Commando’s rigorous training regime, designed to maintain their combat readiness and sharpen operational capabilities for real-world scenarios. Known for their exacting standards and high-intensity drills, the commandos exhibit seamless coordination and precise handling of their weaponry, exemplifying the strength and discipline required for night-time operations.

The upcoming training exercises will take place at Condor Base from the 5th to the 7th of November, running from 4 PM to midnight each day. Coonciding with Guy Fawkes celebrations, local residents may experience background noise, as the Royal Marines train with live ammunition to replicate combat conditions.

45 Commando expressed gratitude to the Arbroath community for their support and patience, acknowledging that the training noise may coincide with Bonfire Night festivities. Emphasising the significance of maintaining peak readiness, the unit notes that night-time exercises like these play a crucial role in enhancing their preparedness for a range of deployment scenarios.

45 Commando Royal Marines, a battalion-sized unit within 3 Commando Brigade, operates as a versatile amphibious force under the Fleet Commander. Based at RM Condor in Arbroath, this commando unit undertakes diverse operations and training deployments outside the UK, with all personnel earning the right to wear the green beret upon completing the rigorous Commando course at Lympstone, Devon.

In 2022, 350 marines from 45 Commando assisted the British embassy in Ukraine, with some members potentially providing weapons training to Ukrainian troops.
