Babcock France has secured a new contract from the French Armed Forces Commissariat Service to provide pilot training for the French Air and Space Force and the French Navy.

Under the agreement, Babcock will deliver theoretical instruction and practical flight training for student pilots, Weapons Systems Officers, and simulator instructor trainees.

The contract includes two main elements. Training will be conducted using Cirrus SR22 aircraft at Salon-de-Provence air base, which supports early-stage pilot development, and Grob 120 aircraft at Cognac air base, where Babcock has played a long-term role in advanced training.

Pierre Basquin, Chief Executive Aviation and CEO France at Babcock, said: “The Air and Space Force and the French Navy are vital pillars of national and international security. This contract reflects our proven expertise and confirms our capacity to grow in the markets where we already operate.”

He added that the deal would strengthen the company’s relationship with the French Armed Forces and expand its presence in France.
