The C4I market direction will be driven by contemporary defence concerns such as cyberspace and the progressive mainstreaming of new innovations in technology, say Forecast International.

While older systems are receiving sustainment services, manufacturers are also working on the next generation of systems. Forecast International projects the C4I market to be worth at least $75.93 billion over the 2019-2028 timeframe.

“Nations the world over face an evolving array of cyber-based threats arising from a variety of sources,” said Richard Sterk, Senior Analyst and editor of Forecast International’s yearly analysis” adding,

“Without a doubt, the one C4I market segment that stands out with signs of explosive growth is cybersecurity.”

“As more and more network breaches occur with data stolen or corrupted – and the realization that the system has been compromised for quite some time,” said Sterk, “one can expect an ever-increasing amount of funding to be pumped into cyberspace – specifically cybersecurity – across a wide spectrum of countries.”

Forecast International is a provider of Market Intelligence and Consulting in the areas of aerospace, defence, power systems and military electronics. Based in the US, the company specialises in long-range industry forecasts and market assessments.

Jobs in cyber security are many, but too few candidates meet the required level.

I am afraid a three week course at crucial academy for ex service personnel does not offer a career opportunity in cyber security.
