The Royal Marines have released a gripping new video titled ‘Raid’, giving the public a rare front-row view of the precision, skill, and tactical expertise that define their elite operations.
The video, which depicts a high-intensity mission involving the interception of hostile targets, showcases how commandos execute missions with lethal precision and coordination.
Described as a look into the “world’s most elite force in action,” the film demonstrates the Marines’ ability to “Intercept. Locate. Attack.” against enemy forces in diverse operational environments. From stealthy maritime insertions to rapid urban infiltration, the video highlights the wide range of capabilities that allow the Royal Marines to operate effectively behind enemy lines.
The video begins with a tense command: “Time to intercept. Three mikes.” The scene quickly shifts to a coordinated maritime approach, with raiding craft slicing through the waters under the cover of darkness. As tactical commands are relayed in rapid succession, elite teams close in on their objective.
Among the highlights is a stealthy night-time assault where the commandos execute precision movements and use sniper support to secure a British hostage. With lines such as “You are green on Bravo. Over.” and “F-35 on station, zero five mikes,” the tension builds as they clear obstacles and engage enemy forces using real-time coordination.
One Commando tactically neutralises a sentry with pinpoint accuracy, followed by coordinated demolitions to neutralise missile systems and enable airstrikes. The phrase “Prepare to beach” signals the start of their infiltration, culminating in dynamic exfiltrations just before dawn.
The film also incorporates realistic scenarios, including reconnaissance teams providing overwatch and F-35 fighter jets striking strategic enemy locations. With scenes showcasing stealth insertions on a “black beach” and coordinated charges, the action mirrors the meticulous preparation the Royal Marines are known for.
As one line from the transcript demonstrates, mission success often relies on tactical patience and precision: “Range 400 metres. Deflection 1.2 left. Aiming point: high centre chest. Wait for my call… Hold. Hold. Sentry down.”
Through the kind of raids depicted, amphibious operations, and humanitarian missions, they reinforce their role in defending UK interests globally.

Excellent film.
Well i enjoyed it.
How exciting. Almost as exciting as changing a hydraulic pressure relief valve in a flying control system. Do I get a nice coloured hat? But for half the pay?
Afraid you wouldn’t get a hat you would get a green berret. Unless you know or have been there best to wind your neck in mate
Love it when the ‘tip of the spear’ complain. Without the rest of us, you won’t be getting casevaced home or even getting there in the 1st place or having a nice man in a Typhoon putting an LGB on target so you don’t have to throw your little pink body at a machine gun position. Green hat…, maroon hat… nobody cares.
Sure, it’s just a blue one.
Very slick. If it were a recruitment ad it would beat the latest Army one hands down. At least the Army one now actually has a Tank in it, but is still dominated by female or ethnic soldiers, mixed in with a strong emphasis on sport.
That’s fine, as they want to attract that area of society.
But the military is about killing the nations enemies if required. The Army seem terrified of that.
This RM vid is more action orientated, which I think is better?
Just my opinion of course.
👍
Did you assume the gender of the “female” soldier ? Tut tut.
Anyway, what have straight white men ever done to defend this country ? Why would you ever acknowledge them ?
I did, actually! Who knows.
Media depiction of HQ always cracks me up, it’s just such a stark contrast to reality.
If only the Marines had a couple of LPDs to call on they would be a complete amphibious force? Oh wait……….
Hollywood artistic license, it’s a good job our boys know how to fight, they should have called it ‘lions led by donkeys’
❤️☮️
Excellent film, really very good!
Such a shame that the MoD scrapped Albion and Bulwark to save a few £million.
It’s a pity the recruitment process is completely useless.
